You wake up feeling good. For the first time in weeks, the fog is thin. So, you do everything. You clean the house, you go for a walk, you answer all those emails.

And then, the crash hits.

"This is the Boom and Bust cycle. It’s the trap of using 100% of your energy the moment it arrives, leaving nothing for the next day."

Phase 1: The Boom

When the battery finally shows a green sliver, the temptation is to spend it all. We feel like we need to 'make up' for the days we spent in bed. We push past the early warning signs because we feel 'normal.'

Phase 2: The Bust

The nervous system becomes overwhelmed. Pain, fatigue, and tremors return with a vengeance. We are forced back into bed, often for days, to pay off the 'energy debt' we just accrued.

Breaking the Cycle

  • 01 **Stop at 60%**: Even if you feel like you can do more, stop. Save that 40% for your recovery and the next day.
  • 02 **Scheduled Rest**: Don't wait until you're tired to rest. Rest is a proactive choice, not a reaction to pain.
  • 03 **Accept Inconsistency**: Your energy won't be a flat line. Pacing is about making the peaks lower and the troughs shallower.

"Your worth is not measured by
your productivity."
